NAME: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret
AGE: 24
CANON: Final Fantasy XV
NAME: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret
AGE: 24
CANON: Final Fantasy XV
CANON HISTORY: Wiki link
CANON PERSONALITY: As a child, Lunafreya was the princess of Tenebrae, a small, independent country ruled by Queen Sylva Nox Fleuret before it was invaded and overtaken by the country of Niflheim. Born into royalty, Luna is the image of poise and grace; her English voice actress has likened her movements to those of a ballerina, and she isn’t wrong in that regard. When she talks, she speaks eloquently and with tact, and she excels at public speaking as a result. Lunafreya displays a great deal of kindness and fondness for a young prince Noctis when he comes to stay in Tenebrae, patiently informing him of his destiny as the future king of Lucis as well as educating him on the cultural practices of her own kingdom. Lunafreya holds a lot of love for her fellow person, and takes a great deal of joy in putting peoples’ minds at ease.
Royal blood aside, Lunafreya is also descended from the line of the Oracle, an individual with the ability to commune with the gods of Eos, otherwise known as the Astrals. Lunafreya’s status as an Oracle is a lofty one: she is viewed as a sort of high priestess with the ability to heal and exorcise daemons and their influence from the individuals of Eos, keeping what’s known as the Starscourge at bay. Lunafreya takes this position very seriously, as she is pictured healing those ailing from various injuries during cutscenes and assuring the crowds of Altissia that she will deliver the entirety of the world from the darkness threatening to consume them. She speaks with conviction and confidence and carries herself in much the same way, offering succor and words of kindness to those who are suffering.
An unfortunate side note about the station of Oracle is the fact that communing with the six Astrals places a great strain upon her, and it's made abundantly clear that Lunafreya is well aware of this fact. In many ways, she was born to die, and while anyone would balk beneath the weight of such a legacy, she seems to have made her peace with it by the time the events of Final Fantasy XV take place. She shows no hesitation when it comes to communing with Eos' gods for the sake of Noctis and his kingdom, faltering only when she feels she physically cannot carry on.
During the events of Kingsglaive, Lunafreya arrives in the crown city of Insomnia as a condition of the peace treaty to be signed between both Lucis and Niflheim. She greets King Regis Lucis Caelum with a fond familiarity, the fondness in which she regards him unwavering in the face of many years and an even greater distance. She shows an inherent understanding of the king's actions during Niflheim's invasion of her own country, and, unlike her elder brother, holds no ill will for Regis' attempts to flee Tenebrae with both her and his young son in tow.
It's during her stay in Insomnia that Lunafreya is abducted by Glauca, an imperial general of Niflheim. Ever self-possessed and strong-willed, Lunafreya is eventually rescued by Nyx Ulric, a war hero and part of King Regis' trusted Kingsglaive task force, though her discontent with simply sitting back and being rescued result in some minor setbacks for the soldier. It's after this daring rescue that the two meet up with King Regis as he retrieves the Ring of the Lucii from none other than Lunafreya's older brother himself. Eventually, Regis forces both Lunafreya and Nyx to leave him behind as he perishes at the hands of Glauca, entrusting the ring to Lunafreya in order to deliver it to Noctis.
Lunafreya takes this burden upon herself with no hesitation, and it's the single driving motivation for most of her actions for the remainder of the movie as well as the game. It's clear that Luna is a very devoted individual, unafraid to act on her own initiative. As Tenebrae is allowed some degree of autonomy while under the control of Niflheim due to Lunafreya’s status, one can assume that she has some degree of leadership ability as well. She is brave and unflappable under pressure, batting away the barrel of a gun even as she was surrounded by a veritable firing squad. Her resolve is unshakable to the point of self-endangerment, and that much also applies to her relationship with Noctis.
While Luna’s relationship with Noctis is far from cut and dry, the game adequately illustrates the fact that she loves him, and that she likely has since she was young. While there’s no denying that no small amount of her interest in him lies with the nature of their respective stations (as the Oracle, it’s her duty to aid the King of Lucis in times of need, working in tandem), it’s clear that there’s a deeper connection between the two of them. When their arranged betrothal is announced, Noctis doesn’t seem broken up about it in the least, and Lunafreya is shown to be excited for the union. Their relationship is shown mainly through small segments regarding the journal they shared and exchanged for the twelve years that they spent apart, and one can rightly assume that their relationship grew through that correspondence, even if nothing is ever explicitly shown.
Lunafreya was designed around the concept of a “heroine who you want to meet but can’t reach,” and for the most part, she fits that profile perfectly. She carries herself with a poise that is almost otherworldly, appearing to be of unlimited patience and kindness. She has an iron will and a stubborn streak, and she is quoted as saying that what she fears most is “doing nothing and losing everything.” Despite the supposed divinity of her person, however, she isn’t anything but human: a series of flashbacks throughout the game show her struggling with the weight of her station, revealing that the effortless way in which she approached being such an important figurehead was really anything but. Lunafreya weeps at the admittance that she wishes to be at the side of Noctis again after speaking to her elder brother of the way her communion with the Astrals is literally killing her, and she very nearly entrusts the delivery of the Ring of the Lucii to Ravus when she feels that she can’t go on. Ultimately, Ravus reminds her of her duties and strength as Oracle, and she carries on… But these instances illustrate the fact that she isn’t invincible.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Lunafreya is known as the Oracle where she comes from, which is a fancy title denoting the fact that she has the power to commune with the gods of Eos. She has the added ability to heal both sickness and presumably wounds. This hasn’t been expounded upon at length in her canon, but she is shown travelling to small outposts and villages, bestowing her blessings from the gods upon the people, healing their injuries and exorcising diseases spread by daemons. As the Oracle of Eos, her abilities allow her to prevent something known as the Starscourge, which is a blight that effects Eos that lengthens nights. While it’s never explicitly stated how the Oracle does this, it comes part and parcel with her job description.
Lunafreya is never seen in direct combat for overly long within the game’s cutscenes and promotional material, but she is shown to be able to wield the Trident of the Oracle as well as being capable of using destructive magic, as evidenced by her encounter with Leviathan. In the ”Omen” trailer, Lunafreya is shown using a spell similar to Protect as she fends off Noctis’ attacks. In sum, Lunafreya isn’t exactly a physical fighter, and her strengths lie in healing and likely in offensive magic.

AU NAME: Lunafreya Nox Fleuret
AU AGE: 24
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: As Luna's appearance lacks any extraordinary features, she will likely look unchanged within the game's setting.
AU HISTORY: Born into the affluent Fleuret dynasty, Lunafreya has been surrounded by wealth from her early days. The Fleuret line has produced many a great doctor in various fields over its long and storied history, and Lunafreya was born with the expectation of upholding the family name and tradition as soon as she came of age. Her parents were supportive of her ambitions and dreams, though they were often absent from her childhood; while Luna had access to the finest nannies and au pairs that Recollé could offer, she usually spent the majority of her time by herself. She was what many of her caregivers referred to as an "old soul," obedient, observant, and more than happy to lose herself in a book as soon as she was old enough to read.
Lunafreya showed great promise as a young girl, excelling in all of her subjects and involving herself in various community service projects throughout middle and high school. While all signs seemed to point Lunafreya on a fast track to medical school, she found herself heeding a different calling when it came to serving her community and volunteering at various clinics throughout Recollé, making quite the name for herself as an advocate for those less fortunate.
After completing her bachelor's degree, Lunafreya threw herself into her volunteer work, focusing primarily on helping the underserved within the community. Her wealth afforded her the ability to throw charity balls and galas that were the talk of the town, and while Luna wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of opulence and overtly glitzy affairs, she could not deny the success of every event she organized. This was due in no small part to her nearly preternatural ability to rouse people to her causes; though whether this is due to her excellent public speaking ability or her down-to-earth personality is up for debate.
While Lunafreya's deferral of attending med school was viewed as eccentric, her reputation suffered very few ill effects within the ranks of the Fleuret family and without. Luna's name often precedes her in many regions of the city, held in high esteem by the underserved for her willingness to physically assist them on top of utilizing her wealth to elevate them. This isn't to say that she is a perfect image of saintliness and goodness; she is, after all, only human, and while many people have great faith in her, she also has some detractors among those within the city. Many people see her as young and naive, overly passionate about the underserved while turning a blind eye to other issues within the city.
For all of the socializing that she does for her various causes, Lunafreya posseses an astonishingly small number of close, personal friends; her upbringing, paired with her social standing and dedication to her charitable causes, make it difficult for her to connect with others on a personal level. The way she carries herself inadvertently keeps her at an arm's length from anyone she interacts with, and as such, her adult relationships greatly resemble those that she had as a child in that they are... almost completely nonexistent. This isn't to say that Lunafreya leads a completely lonely existence, however, as she is the owner of two wonderful, loving dogs that she often takes on walks, as dutiful and doting to them as she is to any of the other things that she believes in.
AU PERSONALITY: While Lunafreya's personality will remain unchanged at its core, her life within Recollé changes a few key aspects of her character. The most prevalent of these aspects will likely be the fact that she lacks a virtuous mission to die for in Recollé, thus eliminating the general sense of sorrowful inaccessbility that she possesses in canon. Instead she will simply appear to be distant for no other reason than the fact that she isn't terribly used to dealing with people on an interpersonal level outside of her volunteer work and charity events, though she is, by all means, amicable and welcoming.
Another aspect of her personality that changes with her experiences in Recollé will likely be her mannerisms; rich as she is, she isn't a princess or politician in any sense of the word in this universe, and as such her speech will be a bit more informal than it is in canon. While she'll still be verbose and excellent at speechmaking, her vocabulary will be a lot less flowery and her movements a bit less graceful.
In Recollé, Lunafreya will likely appear much more human and down-to-earth than she is in canon; gone is her title of Oracle and the burden of forging covenants with gods, and the loftiness of Luna's person will likely go with it. This leaves behind a woman who is slightly out of place when she doesn't have a specific goal in mind, and while she's as driven as they come, she sometimes struggles with simply existing within the moment without working towards something greater. On the other hand, however, the Luna that exists within Recollé will likely be a bit better at relaxing than the Luna of Eos, and while she takes her role as advocate for the underserved very seriously, she doesn't bear the burden of the fate of an entire star on her shoulders.
Luna will also be more likely to follow her heart rather than her duty in Recollé simply because she's been given the luxury to do so, and as such she'll follow her passion projects over whatever she feels destiny has set out for her. She will still devote the entirety of her being to everything she does, often working herself to the bone and beyond. Lunafreya is still very much a woman driven by her own initiative, but Recollé will give her the opportunity to shape her own fate, unhindered by the whims of her gods and completely in control of what she does and where she goes.

SAMPLE ( Here is a very short thread, but as that doesn't meet the 10-comment requirement, I've provided a sample to supplement it! )
Lunafreya breathes deep as she removes the cover of her green tea, her focus seemingly impervious to the raucous bustle of the coffee shop. Before her is a small notebook, its pages filled with delicate, spidery handwriting as she drafts plan upon plan for the women's shelter that she's been funding, coordinating the final charity event of the season. The gala will mark the completion of the shelter, all of its proceeds going towards clothing and supplies now that construction of the building is finally complete. Though Luna feels a sense of accomplishment at the near-realization of the first of many large projects, she knows that her work is far from over.
Anyone who happens to look upon her will notice that her features sag with exhaustion, dark circles hanging low beneath her eyes, her complexion pallid and drawn. Her long, blond hair is messily twisted and held at the back of her head with a claw clip, languid strands falling every which way that they will as she brings her pen to her lips, thinking. Lunafreya Nox Fleuret is beautiful, to be sure, and a bit of tiredness does absolutely nothing to change that... but no one can deny how drained she looks at this very instant.
Still, she sets her pen to paper and writes. She writes of her next possible move; a clinic at the far side of town could use funding, a new homeless shelter could be built in order to compensate for the overcrowding at the one located at the city's opposite end. Or, she briefly considers, she could pause all of these projects and return to her schooling, finishing her pre-med courses and fulfilling her duty to her family. Luna supposes that it would only open more avenues for her to help those who needed it most, but it doesn't change the fact that there are people in need now.
This line of thinking causes her delicate brows to furrow, her expression scrunching up her face as she wrinkles her nose. Bringing a hand to her forehead, Luna curls her fingers into her bangs, closing her eyes as she expels a heavy breath.
"I haven't yet done enough," she murmurs to no one in particular, her eyes opening as she turns her gaze to the ceiling. The coffee shop sports the charming, rustic aesthetic that she favors in the events that she hosts, and she readily admits that much of her inspiration has struck her while seated in this very spot. Lunafreya thinks and thinks hard, the tip of her pen stilling as she presses a heavy dot into the open leaf of her notebook.
"I have not yet done enough," she pens with a flourish, solidifying her resolve. It's never been in her to sit idly by while fully capable of helping those who suffer. Lunafreya's expression calms as she sets down to outlining her next big project, focusing on the clinics that dot Recollé's neediest areas.
